Rotary & Lions help out Call firefighter

Ayer Rotary and Harvard Lions just recognized a 23 year veteran of the Harvard Fire Department for his activities during the December ice storm. While trying to respond to a call he was forced to cut trees to get up the road. During this effort a tree struck his Suburban and totalled it. This vehicle was his office on wheels as he was a electrician and town electrical inspector. Due to the age of the vehicle there was no insurance on the vehicle. The Rotary and Lions Clubs honored him with a Community Service Award and donated a combined gift of $1000. This is a good examply of local service above self by two great service clubs.
